About

MY STORY

storyteller. photographer. hopeless romantic.

Hi! I’m Zoe and I’m so thrilled to meet you! I’m a storyteller, writer, and a hopeless romantic. I believe that soul mates are real, and that true love is possible. My favorite poet is John Keats, who penned, “Two souls but a single thought; Two hearts that beat as one.” Doesn’t that just give you the feels?

I’m a portrait and wedding photographer based out of Nashville, TN (my hometown) and Saint Louis, MO. Because I have homes in both locations, I travel quite a bit between the two, shooting portrait sessions and weddings. I’m also available for destination weddings and WOULD LOVE to travel to shoot yours!

My photos have been described as natural, romantic, and emotional. My work has been featured in numerous wedding blogs and publications, including The Knot, Joy Wed, Nashville Bride Guide, Saint Louis Magazine, Modern Weddings, and Pretty Pear Bride. In 2016, Expertise rated me as one of the Best Portrait Photographers in St. Louis. I’ve also been honored with WeddingWire’s Couples’ Choice Awards in 2016 and 2017, as well as The Knot’s Best of Weddings 2017.

When I’m not photographing, I’m traveling and exploring new places and spending time with soul mate/my childhood sweetheart and cuddling with my shih tzu, Gracie Lu. I’m also a poet and children’s novelist.

MY APPROACH

My approach to wedding photography (and portrait sessions too!) is to capture raw, real emotion. I want to capture your relationship on camera. As you scroll through my galleries, you’ll notice that my photos have a natural quality about them. While I do pose my clients during portraits (and formal photos on a wedding day), I pay attention to how you interact with your love and I tweak my poses based on what your natural tendencies are. Sometimes I’ll even hide in bushes (true story), just so the two of you will relax and have an intimate moment alone.

I want my clients to have fun and feel relaxed when they’re taking portraits with me. I want you to forget that I’m pointing a camera in your face.

During the rest of the wedding day, I am there to document as a photojournalist. I capture those beautiful, emotional and candid moments on a wedding day – your soon-to-be husband tearing up as you walk down the aisle, your guests laughing and clapping during toasts, a tender moment between you and your new wife/husband when you think one is looking. I love those candid moments; they are magic!

I strive to take images that make you feel something, or evoke a memory when you look at them.

Coffee is like my water – I can’t live without it. Why don’t you join me for a cup, and we can have a chat? I’m so looking forward to meeting you and hearing your love story!
