Babies are so precious, and recently, I had the honor of photographing Baby Jacob. He was the sweetest little thing. These photos were taken when he was two weeks old. He was yawning and sleepy the entire session – which was a blessing, because newborn sessions can be hard when the baby is crying and fussy.
I love this shot of Jacob staring straight into the camera. Doesn’t he look like a doll? Too precious and oh, so cute!
I’m a fan of portraits in black and white. Jacob was swaddled in a blanket, and he just laid there very peacefully. Such a darling baby to photograph.
Back in color, these yawning photographs of Ethan are one of my favorite. I love his little expression, the pop of color from his red monster hat and his knitted blanket and his hands fisted up. Just so darling. The colorful stars on his fitted sheet add another interesting dimension to these photos.
Jacob is just too cute for words.
All these newborn portraits were taken at home, in his nursery.
Look at the expression on his face as he lays on his mom’s shoulder.
And this is his grumpy older brother, two-year-old Ethan, who is not happy that his new brother is getting all of the attention he used to have. But don’t worry – we cheered Ethan up later.
