Alicia and Dan are two of my favorite clients. From the moment we met at our initial wedding consultation, I knew we were a perfect match! Alicia and I bonded over our love of baby animals – especially baby goats (which I’m obsessed with) and ideas for her wedding. I truly enjoyed hearing about their love story – high school sweethearts who have been together for 15 years. They both were band geeks and fell in love over music.
When discussing their engagement session, they wanted something urban – so we thought Cherokee Street might be a great fit. And I was so excited when Alicia sent me the photo of the album cover to Bob Dylan’s “The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan.” Dan brought his beautiful guitar to the engagement session, and we had an amazing time shooting these images.
Inspired by the The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan album cover, I’m so pleased to show you Alicia and Dan’s Cherokee Street Engagement Session in St. Louis, Missouri.
As we walked down Cherokee Street, we stumbled across Dead Wax Records. It was a few days before New Years, so they were closed, but their sign and colorful bench made for a perfect spot for beautiful music, and two gorgeous people who are so in love.
We started with Alicia playing Dan’s guitar, as he patiently guided her.
Then Dan took over, and it was so sweet to see adoring and loving Alicia was to her future husband as he strummed his guitar. He’s a very talented guitar player!
Alicia is very cuddly, so we took many romantic shots and I was able to capture loving embraces between the two. They are so in love, and it’s absolutely heart-warming to see. Did I mention that I love love?
There are many unique and fun buildings on Cherokee Street. Here’s a cool blue doorway that we came across.
We sat down on this step and took a breather.
We had so much fun on our St. Louis engagement photo session; lots of smiles and laughter from both Alicia and Dan.
Towards the end of our Cherokee Street engagement photo session, I spotted this cool old building with its rustic brick. Alicia and Dan had some stolen romantic moments against the building.
Here we started to emulate Bob Dylan’s album cover. How sweet are Alicia and Dan?
I absolutely love this shot in black and white.
This is true love.
Dan and Alicia sat down on the grass, and he played his guitar.
We ended our St. Louis Cherokee Street engagement session in the middle of the road, very much Bob Dylan Freewheelin’ style.
