Ashlee and Justin met four and a half years ago, and their love has only blossomed and ripened with time. Their beautiful daughter, Savannah is a testament to their true love. Their wedding at Henry Horton State Park was an intimate family affair; a day filled with so much love, laughter and joy.
The wedding dress was magnificent with so many beautiful flourishes and detail. The bridesmaids dresses were simple, yet very elegant.
Her shoes were simply marvelous. Ashlee, who is immensely talented, created every decoration and embellishment from her day. From the beautiful pearls and sparkly diamonds in her bouquet, to her wedding belt to complete her dress, Ashlee is a talent and so creative.
The day started with smiles and excitement from the girls as they got ready.
Ashlee looked absolutely radiant in her sleek robe as she put on the final touches.
Her parents gave her a beautiful bracelet, and this made her entire face light up. What girl doesn’t want a jewelry from her parents?
With the help of her family, Ashlee finished getting ready.
Her mother and grandmother helped her put on her gorgeous dress.
Rain fell from the sky, so we did not have time to do a first look or take formal portraits. We went straight to the ceremony.
Ashlee’s daughter, Savannah wanted in on the wedding action. She just had to take part in her parents’ marriage, so Ashlee carried her up the aisle and during the ceremony.
Justin only had eyes for his beautiful bride.
Ashlee and Justin were all smiles after the ceremony, when they received their marriage certificates. It was official! They are Mr. and Mrs!
The ceremony was quite eventful, as someone forgot Justin’s ring. So they had to borrow her father’s ring for the ceremony. It doesn’t quite fit Justin, but it made for a funny photo! This is one of my favorite photos from the entire wedding!
The rain was still pouring down outside, so we had to take our formal portraits inside. How in love are Ashlee and Justin? So sweet!
Ashlee and Justin’s wedding was an intimate affair, and they were surrounded by their family and closest friends.
Their daughter, Savannah was the star of the show. She was so adorable!
The wedding was made even sweeter because Ashlee’s grandfather, Poppa Frank was able to attend. He had been battling cancer, and sadly, he passed away a few weeks after the wedding. These photos are a reminder of his love for his family. Rest in peace, Poppa Frank.
The wedding had a country chic theme with burlap, lace and pearls. The decorations were fantastic, designed by Ashlee with the help of her family. It was quite beautiful.
The guest tree was one of the most creative elements of the decor. Family and friends signed the guest tree, a beautiful memory for Justin and Ashlee as they gaze back on their wedding day.
When the rain stopped, we were able to go outside briefly to take some portraits.
I love these romantic portraits that we were able to take with Ashlee and Justin. The cornfield in the background just added to the playful country feel of their wedding.
Back inside, Ashlee took a few minutes to make a phone call to friends who were not able to attend the wedding.
Ashlee was bustled and dinner was served.
A colorful spread of salad, ham and yummy country fixings.
Near the end of dinner, the kids played.
And the grown-ups toasted the bride and groom. There were lots of embarrassing stories, laughter and love as Ashlee’s brother-in-law welcomed her into the family.
Then the dancing began.
Instead of a traditional garter removal, Ashlee had her friend sit in her place, and hilarity ensued.
Finally, it’s time for dessert. Justin and Ashlee had a wonderful time feeding each other cake.
Ashlee and Justin’s wedding at Henry Horton State Park was an affair to remember.
Thank you for letting me take part in this amazing celebration!
