Erica & Cole had such a fun wedding at the Historic Travellers Rest Plantation in Nashville this past Memorial Day weekend. Though it was stormy and rainy throughout their day, this didn’t dampen their day. They first met in first grade, grew up together, and fell in love. As Erica puts it, “I think we always kinda saw each other as ‘the one.’” How romantic is that?
They dated once in seventh grade, but as childhood romances go, it didn’t work out then. They were always friends and became closer by college. Cole asked Erica to be his girlfriend three months into their freshman year of college, and the rest is history! There were so many tears of joy from both Erica and Cole on their wedding day, and it was so sweet to witness.
Minutes before the rain poured down, I captured their first look in the Herb Garden at the Historic Travellers Rest Plantation, followed by portraits on the porch. (Seriously, the rain poured!)
Erica and Cole were married inside the barn next to the main house at Historic Travellers Rest Plantation, with the cocktail hour and reception also inside the barn. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a rustic ambiance. The couple decorated the venue with lots of greenery and it was perfect! They had a powder confetti exit; it was different and so special.
