Summer weather is here, and I am so thrilled! It seemed like April was monsoon season; every engagement session, nearly every wedding was rained on! Such terrible weather for a photographer who prefers outdoor portraits and natural light sessions! Indoor portraits can be beautiful too, but there’s something romantic about airy fields and sunlit kisses! Due to the crazy weather (rainy days! windy storms!), Kelsie and I rescheduled her engagement session two times before we found the perfect sunny day! I am SO thrilled that we did, because her session was absolutely magnificent! I love how romantic this engagement session photos turned out!
For Kelsie and Charlie’s engagement session, I traveled down to Jackson, Missouri (about two hours from St. Louis) to meet them on Charlie’s family property. The street he lives on is named in honor of his grandfather – how cool is that? Kelsie’s family lives nearby, too, but most of our time was spent on Charlie’s family property. His family owns a tree farm, and they have horses too! This engagement session was so special and so wonderful to document!
Thank you Kelsie and Charlie! I cannot wait to photograph your wedding this fall!
