Nashville weddings have my heart. I grew up in Nashville, and I saw my favorite bands at the Wildhorse Saloon when I was a teenager, so when Kimberlee told me that her reception was going to be on the upper level of the Wildhorse, I was sold! I didn’t know quite what to expect, but the Wildhorse Saloon was a fun place to have a chill, relaxed reception. The Wightman Chapel is also one of my favorite ceremony venues; it’s seriously gorgeous inside!
Kimberlee and Jeffrey are from Springfield, Illinois, but they decided to have a destination wedding in Nashville. It’s a fun party town, and they wanted their friends to have a blast! Kimberlee has three children from a previous relationship, and Jeffrey has become an amazing father to her children. It was sweet to see the bride’s adorable children interact with their new dad. I also loved watching her little girls playing on their mom’s wedding day. It was so sweet.
It was a wet, cold and rainy day in February, but the love that surrounded Kimberlee and Jeffrey kept all of us warm and happy. I loved the classic, timeless and casual feel of this wedding day. Enjoy these beautiful photographs from their Nashville destination wedding!
The Scarritt Bennett grounds and the Wightman Chapel are absolutely gorgeous with old woodwork and red brick, stone, and so much natural light.
We did not have very much time for bride and groom portraits, due to their tight wedding timeline, but we were able to snap a few portraits before we had to head to the reception.
Kimberlee and Jeffrey’s reception at the Wildhorse Saloon was sparsely decorated, but it offered a relaxed and fun environment for guests to spend time together, talk, play pool and other bar games. Everyone had a blast!
