Julia found me on Facebook last fall, and I was fortunate enough to book her wedding without an in-person consultation. We exchanged messages and emails about her wedding, and I finally met Jason a few months later. We met at Applebee’s for dinner and drinks, and I knew right away how special their bond was. Julia was my kind of girl – we bonded over our love of Dr. Pepper, and exchanged funny stories about weddings!
How special their love story is, and I am so excited to share their wedding with you. Julia and Jason have been friends for many years, the best of friends, and eventually their friendship turned into true love. Don’t you just love it when that happens?
They were married at sunset on a Friday in March at Windows on Washington in the heart of downtown St. Louis. I have never shot at this location before, and the lighting was quite a challenge for me. Despite all the windows surrounding us, there were only pockets of light in various areas of the reception hall.I’m always up for a challenge, and I pulled through. I had to be a little creative in how I shot this wedding, and I used a combination of natural light and flash.
Julia wore a simple dress, embellished by simple adornments – a pretty clasp in her hair and a sweet bracelet. She made a darling bride; a princess to her Jason.
The bride’s son walked her down the aisle and gave her away. Guests enjoyed a delicious breakfast buffet – there’s nothing better than breakfast food at dinner, and it was a wonderful night for everyone.
Thank you Julia and Jason for allowing me to capture your special day!
