Backyard weddings are so special, but surprise weddings are even more memorable. Alex and Caleb had the sweetest surprise wedding a few weeks ago, and I was so excited to be able to capture every moment of their special day.
Alex and Caleb invited all of their closest friends and family to attend Alex’s graduation/luau party. Everyone came in casual, colorful outfits to attend the luau, not expecting there to be a wedding. Only a few knew of the surprise wedding, so when Caleb’s parents announced they were having a wedding, everyone was in shock. It was a gorgeous event, and the weather could not have been better, especially for a summer day in Missouri.
They were married at his parents’ property, which is also the location where he proposed to her in 2013. The were always planning to elope to Jamaica, so no one was expecting to be able to see them get married. The love and joy that everyone has for the couple was so evident, and it melted my heart to be able to capture this special wedding for Alex and Caleb – who happen to be the nicest people, and so, very sweet too! I love photographing weddings when your couple makes you feel like a good friend.
