CJ and Erin's wedding at the Belle Meade Plantation was an elegant and intimate celebration of love and family. They celebrated with 100 of their closest friends and family, who traveled from everywhere to see them get married in Nashville.
Their wedding was such a special day for me because they married at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Nashville (the same church where Josh and I were married in 2018) by the same priest that married us.
Erin is a self-professed plant lady, so she loves lots of greenery. I loved the organic, green wedding bouquet with eucalyptus leaves she chose that had just an accent of white flowers. Erin's father passed away, so her bouquet was wrapped with his rosary and had a sweet photo of him attached to it.
Their wedding reception at the Harding House at the Belle Meade Plantation was simple, but so full of joy and special touches. There were cookies with the couple's initials, custom printed koozies with the couple's names and the shape of the state of Tennessee in the back. They also cut a pie instead of the traditional cake because the groom loves eating pie.
We took portraits around the Belle Meade Plantation, which served as the perfect backdrop for a Tennessee country wedding. I simply love the wooden gates and the bridge that overlooked the creek on the property. (This is also a creek where I often played as a child.) We took photos at the creek, and it was so cool and pretty.
I was also 6 months pregnant during this wedding and I slipped on the algae near the creek and fell flat on my back during the portrait time. Erin and CJ were so sweet to me after my fall, and fortunately, my husband was shooting with me that day. The baby was perfectly fine and the day went on! (Oh the dangers of photographing while pregnant, lol).
This was such a perfect day, and I loved every moment of it. We ended the wedding with sunset portraits around Belle Meade Plantation, and they were just stunning.
