Sara and Alex were married under a gorgeous tree next to the Cabin by the Spring at Andrew Jackson’s The Hermitage in Nashville.
You won’t find a happier bride than Sara. She was absolutely exuberant her entire wedding day. The minute she and Alex were married, she smiled and exclaimed, “Husband!” She was just so excited and happy, and it was so much fun to photograph and capture her joy!
This was an amazing wedding day. The Hermitage is an amazing venue for a wedding. We took their first look and portraits at the Rachel’s garden, right next to the Hermitage house before we headed to the Cabin by the Spring for their wedding ceremony and reception.
Sara chose the wedding colors of light blue, silver, white, and natural green which totally matched the outdoors, natural beauty of this Nashville historical plantation and Andrew Jackson’s home. The couple wanted a rustic and simplistic style for their wedding; they are more of a laid-back couple, and this totally fit the Cabin’s look and feel.
Though the decorations were simple, they were decorated with love. The bride’s bouquet was wrapped in her grandmother’s wedding dress, and the ribbon in her flower crown had her mother’s dress. The guests were given pashminas as gifts, and Alex made spices for every guest. This was such a special day!
