This summer has been the prettiest for engagement sessions. I’m loving all the greens in the trees and grass, the sunlight filtering through the trees, and the flowers that are in bloom. I’m so excited to share this Castlewood Engagement Session with you! It’s one of my prettiest sessions from St. Louis, and I just love, love these images!
I often shoot in Forest Park and Tower Grove Park in the city, so I was totally game when Lindsey asked me to travel to Castlewood State Park for their engagement session. Lindsey and Brady live near the park and walk the trails there with their dog, Izzy all the time. They brought along Izzy, as well as a friend to watch her while we took engagement photos. Izzy is one of the most well behaved dogs (for the most part, though we did bribe her with treats to grab her attention so we could snap a few photos. She totally lost it when we were by the water, and she dived right in).
Towards the end of our session, we hiked down several sandy hills to find the river and a beautiful spot to finish our photo session. I didn’t bring a camera strap with me, and my camera almost slipped a few times, but I never dropped it, even though I was hiking and carrying my stool with me. It was definitely worth it. The photos by the river, with the reflection of the trees in the water, are some of my favorite. They remind me a little of fall, but it was just so gorgeous there!
This was such a beautiful engagement session in St. Louis! It made my photographer heart so happy!
