I can’t help but gush when I talk about Shelitha and Jack. Over a decade together, and they still love each other madly and deeply.
These sweethearts met in high school (coincidentally they were only a grade younger than my sister) and were married on their 11th anniversary! Through the years, they’ve grown up together, faced many challenges and successes together – from college, first jobs and new careers. Through it all, they have been each other’s rock. There is nothing more romantic than having a husband who is your best friend and your rock to hold you up through those hards times.
I met Shelitha last summer when she was the maid of honor at her friend, Ateia’s wedding. Ateia was a bridesmaid this year, and it was so lovely to catch up. Shelitha was a stunning bride, and her dress – oh her dress! I absolutely LOVED it! Jack cried tears of joy and his eyes lit up when he saw her for the first time in that magnificent dress. It was so sweet.
There were so many tears shed, from their teary-eyed and romantic first look to the tears they cried during their wedding ceremony. I’ve never witnessed another couple so in love, and 11 years together too! That’s how true love and a lifetime of love and happiness should be. The day wasn’t without laughter either. The bridal party cracked me up. Everyone laughed and joked – it was such a fun and memorable day!
I loved the wedding colors of peach, marine blue, ivory, and dark grey. So classic and elegant. CJ’s Off the Square in Franklin, TN was the perfect venue for this amazing wedding day! Jack’s mother, Nola, who is an artist, created several pieces for the wedding, including the table centerpieces and the hand-painted tree with leaves that guests could sign and attach with their well wishes and advice to the happy couple.
This CJ’s Off the Square wedding was amazingly beautiful! Though it rained on Shelitha and Jack’s wedding day, it didn’t damper the fun and the overwhelming feeling of love from their family and friends as they celebrated. Congratulations to Jack and Shelitha! May you live a life full of happy days and a happily ever after!
