Hannah and Carter are getting married in Colorado in the summer, but they wanted to get all the paperwork out of the way first in their home state of Missouri. I captured their St. Louis courthouse wedding at the Clayton courthouse earlier this month, and then we headed over to the St. Louis Zoo for bride and groom portraits!
I don't get the opportunity to photograph many courthouse weddings; I usually photograph portraits after the bride and groom have finished the ceremony, so it was very exciting when Hannah and Carter asked me to photograph the courtroom wedding itself!
Courthouse weddings are so fun. They are quick (just a few minutes in front of a judge and then you are officially married!) I loved their portraits at the Zoo, and getting photo bombed by the animals was the best part!
It was a rainy day, but we were able to capture some cute outside shots (thanks to the yellow umbrella they brought) but the Zoo has lots of indoor spaces for us to photograph in as well.
I loved meeting this sweet couple and photographing this part of their love story! Congratulations Hannah and Carter!
