Hannah and Mitchell are getting married on Halloween next year, so we thought it would be perfect to have a Halloween-inspired engagement session near their hometown of Grafton, Illinois. We started our session near this gorgeous tall rock mountain that reminded me of Colorado across from River Road.
Hannah wore this amazing black tulle skirt and long-sleeved lace top, and Mitchell donned a handsome long sleeved dark blue shirt, black pants, and a dark red bowtie that was the perfect compliment to Hannah's outfit. They brought smoke bombs to their session, and it made for some really cool portraits. Hannah loves the dark and moody photography style, and though it's different than my usual bright and airy style, I think it fits so perfectly with the style of this Illinois engagement session.
Later, we headed over to the forest. Hannah's family friend managed this cool woodland area. Hannah and Mitchell drank red wine, and we captured some stunning images as the sun faded away.
