There are some weddings that I look forward to, and Jonathan and Rinita’s wedding at the Old Barn Inn at the Inns at St. Albans was one of them. It was my third wedding of the weekend (I shot Julia’s and Ethan’s wedding Friday, Amy and Tyler’s on Saturday, and their wedding on Sunday), but I had such an amazing time!
I first met Rinita a few years ago at a church picnic. She was so sweet and kind, and I liked her instantly. Rinita has a sweetness about her that makes you feel right at ease. When I first heard she and Jonathan were engaged, I was ecstatic for her! I was so thrilled they chose me to photograph their surprise proposal on Art Hill, and I looked forward to their wedding in October.
Jonathan is a perfect match for Rinita. He’s handsome, kind, and has a great heart. But best of all – he loves her completely. When I sat down with them for dinner to discuss their wedding, I knew instantly how much he loved her. The way he gazes lovingly at her, the way he pats her hand, and the care he shows by paying attention to her needs … it’s true love.
Although it rained on their wedding day, their love and the love from their friends and family kept them warm and dry. We started the day at Jonathan’s parents’ house where the couple got ready. Rinita cried so many tears throughout the morning. My favorite moment was seeing Rinita’s father’s smile at seeing his daughter for the first time. It was so sweet!
They were married at St. Alban Roe Catholic Church in Wildwood, Missouri. Afterwards, we headed to The Inns at St. Albans and took a few portraits in the courtyard of the Old Barn Inn … right before the rain fell. Though we didn’t get too many photos outside due to the weather, we had a blast at their reception.
The Old Barn Inn at St. Albans, part of the Inns at St. Albans was beautifully decorated for the wedding reception. Elegant as always. I especially loved the “Love is all you need” favor boxes given to each guest.” It was such a fun filled evening!
