Nashville Wedding at The Iris Garden at Ellington Agricultural Center and Humphreys Street Coffee Shop

Some weddings are just magical, and Heather and Daniel's micro wedding in Nashville this summer was one of those. I absolutely loved every single moment of their wedding day. Although COVID-19 changed the landscape of weddings this spring and summer, Heather and Dan had a small and elegant wedding with just their best friends and closest family members in attendance. There were less than 20 people at this sweet Nashville wedding, but it was GORGEOUS and SO, SO perfect!

They married outside at the Iris Garden at Ellington Agricultural Center with a lovely coffee shop wedding at Humphreys Street Coffee Shop near the fairgrounds.

I was completely blown away by the gorgeous reception details. Heather planned her wedding in a matter of months, but every single detail and design element flowed and looked Pinterest-worthy. Seriously - it was stunning. I loved all the greenery. It fit so well for this June wedding.

Heather and Dan met at a mutual friends' wedding over four years before they started dating, and their friends had wanted them to date since even before they met. Their paths had crossed many times over the years, and they loosely stayed in touch, but it was always a friendship. When Dan finally moved to Nashville, it didn't take very long before friendship evolved into love.

Their mutual friend - Jon, whose wedding they attended when they met - actually officiated their wedding ceremony too! How cool is that?

Heather and Daniel's Nashville wedding had so many special moments, and so many unique touches. Daniel made the arbor for their ceremony space. Heather made the floral arrangement that hung from the arbor. She designed the invitations, place cards, signage and the banner that hung behind the sweetheart table. (Seriously, she should be a wedding planner because everything was SO PERFECT. I am so in love with all the details!) The couple wrote also handwritten notes to each of their guests. Because each person played a vital role in their lives and their relationship, they wanted each person to know how loved they were.

They chose Humphrey Street Coffee Shop as their Nashville reception venue because it is a social enterprise in Nashville and a place where the couple spent a lot of time getting to know each other. In their friend group, it's their "Central Perk."

Daniel's mom also made the painting for their "guest book." She painted a Smoky Mountain landscape, in honor of where Dan and Heather first met.

What made this Nashville wedding even sweeter is because they married on Heather's parents thirty-fourth wedding anniversary. How sweet is that?

So many amazing moments, and I simply loved this COVID micro wedding!
