Old Barn Inn – Inns at St. Albans Wedding: Andrew & Lindsay

My first wedding at The Inns at St. Albans was last September, so it was so wonderful to come back for two weddings this season. Lindsay and Andrew were married the Old Barn Inn at St. Albans on September 3, 2017 with a reception at the St. Albans Country Club.

While it’s very common for me to take getting ready photos beforehand, Lindsay and Andrew chose for me to arrive for their first look and formal portraits before the ceremony. Lindsay was already ready and looked gorgeous in her Casablanca wedding dress. Andrew cried tears of joy and happiness when he turned around and saw Lindsay. Following their first look, we took bride and groom portraits and wedding party photos before their wedding ceremony.

The Old Barn Inn has a lovely garden, a beautiful bridge in front of the main buildings, and cool train tracks. Though it a very hot and humid day, it was so pretty with lots of pretty flowers in bloom.

After the wedding ceremony, we took family photos, and then Andrew and Lindsay were able to enjoy most of cocktail hour. That was their goal – they wanted photos to wrap up quickly, so they could enjoy their beautiful wedding. I’m very much a photographer that aims to photograph what the couple wants – it’s their wedding and wedding photos, of course!

Everyone headed to the St. Albans Country Club for their reception. Their wedding cake featured a bulldog in bow tie and top hat – so cute. Their dog is a bulldog too! The table decor was simple with a few lit candles and succulents on each table. Guests had an amazing time dancing the night away.
