There are some weddings that are so fun that the day just flies by, and before you know it, sparklers are being lit and the couple is running through them, kissing and riding away towards their happily ever after! I loved every second of Tess and Rhys’ wedding in July. From the carriage ride – yes! I got to ride in a white carriage with them throughout downtown historic St. Charles – to the fun Alabama red shakers that they had guests shake as they sang the Alabama fight song. There was so much fun on this wedding day!
Tess and Rhys first met at the University of Alabama, and there are so many decorative touches that reflect the school and place that’s so instrumental to their love story. Tess tells me that there were a bunch of little moments that let her know that Rhys was the one – from cherished memories of the two singing together at the top of their lungs to the less happy moments where you need that special person to hold your hand when you are sick and in the hospital all night. So sweet!
The couple wanted something romantic and simple for their wedding, and the Old Stone Chapel made for the perfect spot. It was a beautiful venue with delicious food and amazing staff. What I loved most was during the reception, family members sang to Tess and Rhys. So sweet and touching!
I hope you love these wedding photos as much as I do!
