Lucy and Henry had the most beautiful wedding at Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic Church in St. Louis with a garden-party themed wedding reception at her parents' backyard near the Frontenac area. This was such a relaxed and gorgeous wedding day, and I absolutely loved shooting it!
We started the day at Lucy's parents' house for the bride's getting ready, and my second shooter, Melissa started with candids at a nearby hotel of the groom. (Henry hates getting his photo taken, and he prefered to have more candids during his getting ready photos.)
The couple chose not to have a first look, but Lucy wanted a first look with her brothers and father, and I loved the joy of her family's faces when they saw her in her wedding dress. She also had an awesome first look with her bridesmaids. (I LOVE bridesmaids first look. They are so much fun!)
They were married at a classic Catholic ceremony at Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic Church with family photos afterwards. We went to her high school for portraits, which was green and lush and so perfect. Although Henry didn't want formal portraits, we did capture a few very cute photos of the bride and groom.
I loved the reception decor. So classic with beautiful flowers and greenery. Guests had such an amazing time chatting and hanging out with one another. Instead of a seated dinner, there were food stands with different stations of food (Asian, Mexican, American, BBQ, etc.) It was such a fun backyard wedding reception! I loved all the live music and the musicians were AMAZING!
