Lindsay and Gareth had a Saturday morning wedding in June, followed by a coffee and donut reception across the town square. My second shooter, Shellie and I traveled to Winchester, Tennessee, about an hour and a half way from Nashville, to photograph their special day.
The couple have been friends since middle school – which I think is a sign of true love in itself. They wanted to have a casual, quirky and fun wedding, so after their wedding ceremony at the First United Methodist Church in Winchester, Tennessee, their reception was at a cool hipster coffee shop – San Miguel Coffee and Ballroom, conveniently located across the street from the church.
For their decor, Lindsay painted the cake/donut toppers to look like her and Gareth. She also made giant moss covered letters that say “You & Me” – a nod to their first dance (“You and Me” by Dave Matthews – Gareth’s favorite band, who they will be seeing on their honeymoon.) Nearly everything was handmade and DIY by the bride. The homemade decorations made this wedding one to remember.
I love working with laid-back, happy couples who are in love. And this was an amazing wedding to photograph!
