Some weddings are simply magical and a delight to photograph. Shari and Brian had such a wedding. From the kisses they shared when they thought no one was looking to the “I love you’s” I caught them whispering in each other’s ears, their love for one another is real, true and one to last a lifetime. They have both been married before, but life teaches you to overcome your scars and come out stronger than ever. As best friends and soul mates, they know what it takes to make love last.
They are a Match.com success story! They had a spark from their first date, and in April, they joined their families together as one. Both have children from previous marriages, and in joining into marriage, their blended family became one.
Despite the cloudy skies and dusk that surrounded us on that April evening, I was able to capture some special photographs. The rain stopped right before their ceremony, and it only lightly sprinkled the rest of the evening. I was so thankful for the weather cooperating, as it had been lighting and thundering only half an hour before I was scheduled to arrive.
They were married at the Ruby, a wedding venue that sits in the heart of Hillsboro Village in midtown, Nashville, TN.
After the ceremony, I took Shari and Brian out to the Nashville Dragon Park, which is always so colorful and pretty for some gorgeous portraits.
Their reception was painted in purple hues to create a unique ambiance. Brad Reed from 3rd Coast Entertainment played some amazing jams, a mix of oldies, classics, and the newest hits. The music was AMAZING, and everyone had so much fun dancing the night away.
Shari and Brian’s sparkler send-off ended the fun night!
