Hugo and Abby's St. Louis engagement session was epic! We photographed at two locations - Malcolm W. Martin Memorial Park, where Hugo first proposed to Abby - and then to Lafayette Square Park, which is only about ten minutes away. I love these images so much. They are bright and airy, and also colorful with a punch. I love going to two different location for St. Louis engagement photos. Two different looks, two different outfits. It's just so much fun for me as a photographer.
What made this St. Louis engagement session even more amazing was that Hugo called me the day before the session and asked me to stage a fake proposal for them. The real engagement ring finally arrived (it was custom made with diamonds from his grandmother's ring), and he wanted to surprise Abby with it. So during our engagement session, I had Hugo get down on one knee for a "pretend proposal" photo, and he surprised Abby with the ring. Her reaction was priceless. Such great smiles, and lots of "I love you's." This session just warmed my heart and made me so happy to be part of this.
I cannot wait to photograph Abby and Hugo's wedding in the fall, and I hope you love these photos as much as I do!
