Some weddings are absolutely gorgeous! Beth and Joe’s wedding at the Old Post Office in downtown St. Louis is probably one of the prettiest we’ve shot this fall. First, Beth and Joe are seriously gorgeous people. Beth could be a super model. She’s so pretty! And her dress – oh my goodness, I love all the ruffles and poof. Wtoo by Watters designs some gorgeous wedding dresses!
Beth and Joe met online three years ago. They met on Tinder of all places! Their first date was at Blood & Sand, where they fell hard for one another. They quickly met each other’s families, became each other’s support systems, and their love just grew and grew. They moved in together in a darkling apartment in Clayton, on the same street where Beth’s grandmother lived when her grandparents were newly married. How sweet is that?
Joe proposed in the cutest way! Joe had his assistant create a fake invitation to a “Top Doctors” award ceremony where he was supposedly being honored (he’s an ENT). It happened to be the same weekend Beth’s parents, sister and fiance were coming in town. Joe let Beth know that they might have our picture taken so Beth was sure to look her best! On the way out to the ceremony (conveniently located in Washington, MO near his parents’ house), his dad called asking if they could come by and help him out. He was putting together a hayride for the church that weekend and wanted them to come by and check it out. Although they were dressed to the nines, they were willing to swing by! When they got there, Beth did think it
was a little suspicious that he asked us to go for a hayride to “plan the route.” As they were riding around the beautiful Washington farm, with the glowing, warm October sun, Joe shared that he wanted to read me a poem. He spoke how he loved Beth and my family and hoped for them to join into a family. He proposed to her right there on the hayride! She, of course, said “yes!” In complete shock, they took the hayride right across the field to where their whole family, including my parents, sister and her fiance, were waiting to celebrate with the couple. They enjoyed a large family dinner at his parent’s home, overlooking the Missouri river, complete with sparklers and fireworks. How sweet is that?
