Andie and Andrew’s wedding finally arrived on May 20, 2017! I can’t believe it’s been an entire year since I saw them in Seattle for their Seattle engagement session! I love Andie and Andrew for so many reasons, but mostly they are just good, nice people! Andie and Andrew made Kathleen, my second shooter, and I feel at home and welcome during their special day. Although we were there to capture their special day, when you’re kind and considerate to your photographer, we are less stressed (and wedding days can be super stressful!) and we are more creative and we do a better job photographing your wedding. Niceness and kindness go along way. And this was an amazing wedding! I LOVED every second of it! If I could go back and relive the day, I would. I just love Andie and Andrew SO much! Ahhhh!
Let me tell you Andie and Andrew’s love story! Despite having mutual friends in common – their friends never introduced them (rude, right?!) – they met on eHarmony. They hit it off right away. They tell me that their third date was magical. Despite the dying baby bird that almost fell on them at the park (yikes!), and a creepy waiter with long fingers at a Moroccan restaurant, and Andie locking herself out of her apartment (so Andrew had to climb over the balcony and break in), these experiences brought them together and connect on a deep level. Almost exactly a year after that date, Andrew popped the question. Their love has taken them on a journey across the United States, including Seattle, California, and now Charleston, South Carolina. They are so excited for the rest of their lives, and I was so blessed to witness the joining of these two awesome people.
We started the day at Andie’s house for getting ready. (Andrew didn’t want photos of him getting ready, so that’s why there are no groomsmen and groom prep photos.) They married at Annunciation Catholic Church, followed with Forest Park portraits, and a reception at the Franklin Room. Their wedding colors were gold, white, and blush, and their Franklin Room reception had a math and airplanes theme, since Andie is a math teacher and Andrew is an aerospace engineer. The two motifs perfectly complimented each other, and made for a truly memorable wedding!
Enjoy these beautiful highlights of their wedding! (And stay tuned for their wedding video slideshow at the end for even more beautiful photos!). This Franklin Room wedding is an example of a 10 hour, 2 photographer day. The bride and groom received over 1,200 wedding photos! I loved this day so much and I hope you do too!
xoxo, Zoe
Andie’s parents’ home was so cute! Decorated with pink flowers on the outside, and inside, the girls enjoyed homemade cake, sandwiches, and other yummy snacks.
Andie gave gifts to all the bridesmaids, and we took photos with their embroidered blue robes.
Andie’s Oleg Cassini dress absolutely stunning! I loved the beautiful lace.
We took bride and bridesmaids robe photos on Andie’s front porch. I can’t get over how cute her house is!
Then we headed upstairs to put on her wedding dress!
I love the reactions of the bridesmaids during Andie’s “first look” with the girls. Priceless reactions!
Andrew and Andie had a traditional wedding mass at Annunciation Catholic Church in Webster Groves. It was so sweet how Andie had a hanky and cried several times throughout her wedding. It was really sweet!
We snapped family photos outside of the church before heading on the party bus to Forest Park.
We started with Bride and Groom Portraits and then Wedding Party Portraits at the top of Art Hill in Forest Park, before we went down to the Grand Basin for even more photos.
These Forest Park Bride and Groom Portraits are probably my favorites. Andie wanted to just stop walking for a minute, so I let them rest and have a moment. These natural moments are the sweetest!
Another sweet moment while we waited for the Party Bus to come picks us up.
I loved her wedding cake. It is probably one of the cutest, most creative cakes I’ve seen, and macaroons are always a delight! (I am always too busy to sample but guests said they were scrumptious.)
Guests had a blast dancing the night away!
