Dan and Shannon had the most beautiful St. Louis wedding day this past March. They were married in a gorgeous Catholic ceremony at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Soulard, with a fun reception at Windows on Washington in downtown St. Louis. Although it was a cold and wintery day, this entire wedding day was filled with so much love, laughter, and joy! It was such a delight to photograph. I loved getting to know Shannon and Dan throughout this process, from their engagement session in St. Louis to their amazing wedding day.
Shannon and Dan have the coolest love story too. They both met at the gym. He told her she was beautiful and asked for her phone number. The rest was history. They are such a beautiful couple, and they made each other laugh and both smiled during their engagement session and all through their wedding day. The joy was infectious and it made me so happy to photograph!
I loved how elegant Shannon's wedding dress was, and her veil was a dream to work with. I absolutely adore long veils. I love how they drag during wedding ceremonies, and they look so gorgeous when they are flown in the wind. (It was a windy day, so the wind worked in our favor and created such amazing images that I absolutely love! I also adored the classic colors of white, black, gold, and twilight blue that Shannon incorporated into her day. It came together so well and amazingly. It was such a special day!
Windows on Washington also created such a great wedding reception venue for Shannon and Dan on their St. Louis wedding day. The gold undertones of everything just were so pretty and fun to photograph. I especially loved their wedding favors, which were jars of peanut butter and jelly, which paid homage to the hundreds of sandwiches that Shannon has made Dan during their relationship together. How cute is that?
