St. Louis Wedding: Tori and Garrett

As a St. Louis wedding photographer, I am so honored to have photographed hundreds of amazing wedding days over the past (almost) decade. Most of the time, I get to photograph wedding days from beginning to end - from getting ready until the reception. Tori and Garrett's wedding day was a little different. I had the honor of getting to photograph Tori's getting ready, their first look and portraits inside the church where they were getting married, and their bride and groom portraits, and their wedding party photos at Forest Park. The photos are amazing, and I love these so very much!

Here's the scoop on why I didn't get to photograph their ceremony and reception - Tori had hired a big photography corporation, which hires out photographers and matches them with brides. They give you a low rate, except the quality of the photos aren't always the best. They also pair you with new photographers who may have never photographed a wedding before. When Tori found out who her photographer was going to be that way, she was unhappy. The photographer had only shot sports before, not weddings. Unfortunately, she couldn't cancel her contract - the company wouldn't allow her, so she was stuck with this bad photographer. Tori wanted good portraits for her wedding day, so she got in touch with me, and I was able to capture all the important photos that she wanted from her wedding day - photos with her bridesmaids, and portraits of her and Garrett together. I'm so thankful I was able to capture these for her wedding day.

Tori's wedding day was a family event! Her close friends and family pitched in to do her hair and make-up. They had a beautiful wedding brunch set-up downstairs at the Airbnb, where they were renting, and that was just amazing to take photos of. It was so pretty. She had a sweet first look with her dad, before heading to the church to take portraits with Garrett.

Tori and Garrett's first look was so special, and so sweet. Afterwards, they kneeled at the altar and prayed together for 15 minutes, before we headed to Forest Park for their formal portraits.

It was such a special day, and I loved every second of capturing these sweet moments for them!
