Tara + Derek: Percy Warner Park Engagement

Derek and Tara are the sweetest couple you’ll ever meet. Their deep love for each other is so clear to anyone who meets them. I first met them for coffee on a cloudy Sunday afternoon, before our engagement session. As they told me their love story, you could just see the love shared between them.  Derek only only has eyes for his beautiful Tara, and their kisses throughout their engagement session was so heart-warming to watch.

I love couples in love, and their engagement season at Percy Warner Park in Nashville was so much fun. We headed out with our boots, a blanket, and their bible. We hiked up lots of stairs, through hills and a muddy landscape, but you would have never known it. These are some of my favorite photos from their engagement session. I love them, and I hope you will too!

Congrats to Derek and Tara!

We started on the steps in front of Percy Warner Park, and these engagement photos are some of my favorites. The old steps, their stylish boots and loafers, and perfect autumn outfits made for the prettiest photos!

They go to school in two different states, but when they are together, they just radiate love.

The kisses naturally came, and it was adorable to photograph! Their loving gazes were a delight to capture. I just love these photos from the Percy Warner Engagement Session!

High-fives for a job well done!

Tara reminds me of blonde Emma Stone. Shooting their Percy Warner engagement session was like watching a love story come to life in front of me. Derek complimented her so well. They fit perfectly, and I know they will have a long and happy marriage.

They found this idea on Pinterest, and brought these delightful Save the Date cups for their romantic picnic in the woods. Such fun!

They looked so natural and adorable as they read through the Bible, looking for a romantic passage.

The forest created a lush, green field for some romantic photos.

I always turn a few of my favorites into black and white. How sweet are these?

I always try to throw in a bit of fun into every engagement session!
