This Old Barn Inn wedding at the Inns of St. Albans was absolutely gorgeous. Though the skies were iffy and cloudy, this fall wedding couldn't have been more lovely and such a pleasure to shoot. I loved getting to know Rachel and Max at their engagement session in 2020, and then getting to photograph their wedding in October 2021. It's been such an amazing wedding season for me and I'm so excited to share this wedding with you.
Max and Rachel first met each other when they were ten years old, and they were on the same swim team. For three years, they were team mates, and they fell out of touch until they reconnected at Mizzou in 2017 during Homecoming weekend. They started chatting at a bar, and the rest is history. Their love for one another shines and it's a true love story!
They were married at St. Alban Roe Catholic Church in a beautiful ceremony with a reception at the Old Barn Inn later in the evening. They chose this St. Louis wedding venue because it's where Max proposed.
We took portraits at the Studio Inn, where the girls got ready, and it made such a pretty location for the wedding party pictures and bride and groom portraits. I loved the classic and timeless style of this Old Barn Inn wedding. Rachel chose the perfect fall colors of burgundy, navy and gold, and the bride and bridesmaids' wedding bouquets were so, so, so pretty!
There were so many beautiful moments from this wedding day, from Rachel's first look with her dad, and then her giving both of her parents gifts. What a special moment to capture! Their reception was fun-filled with guests laughing and dancing the night away. It was truly a special day, and I was so honored to be their St. Louis wedding photographer.
