Alison and Stephen first met in the most romantic fashion – at a New Year’s Eve party at the Hyatt in St. Louis. They were there with friends, and as fate would have it, a couple of their friends recognized each other from college. Their eyes met, and after the ball dropped, they danced the night away.
Last month, they were married at The Basilica of St. Louis, King (aka The Old Cathedral) in the heart of downtown St. Louis in a traditional Catholic mass, followed by a fun reception at the Promenade by Westin, right next to the baseball stadium.
Alison loves Kate Spade, so she created a fun and classic wedding reception using Kate as her inspiration. From black and white bowties on the table, which matched the striped carpet perfectly, to the big balloons she chose for the head table. Champagne glasses had paper straws as escort cards, which were the cutest flags. Her wedding colors were black, white, with a little pop of color. It was a classic and memorable affair.
For wedding portraits, we travelled on the party bus to Lafayette Square Park. Alison and Stephen did not have a first look. This wedding is an example of a 10 hour, 2 photographer wedding 🙂
Enjoy these pretty images of their very special day.

We started the day getting ready at The Westin in Downtown St. Louis. I was obsessed with her stylish invitations and gold shoes. So pretty together!
Stephen got ready in a separate suite.
The bride and groom exchanged letters before the wedding mass.
We did a “first look” with the bridesmaids.
The groomsmen and groom took a separate party bus to the ceremony location; the girls followed soon after. Alison and Stephen were married at The Basilica of St. Louis, King (The Old Cathedral).
After the wedding ceremony, we traveled on the party bus to Lafayette Square Park for portraits.
Then, it was back to the Westin for the reception.
It was such an amazing and fun night!Special shout out to Whole Street Productions (they are seriously the best videography team in St. Louis – I LOVE working with them! They do amazing work)
